We reflected on some of the highlights and challenges from the last year at our Annual General Meeting (AGM), held at Mowden Park Rugby Club in Darlington, on 21 September.
Attendees at this year’s event included foundation members, governors, commissioners, elected representatives and other NHS organisations as well as one of the families affected by the independent review conducted by Dame Marianne Griffiths.
They were welcomed by Chairman Peter Strachan before Chief Executive Helen Ray outlined where we are in our Trust Strategy and quality priorities as well as providing an update on our Care Quality Commission inspections and the independent review.
Helen also read some of the hundreds of appreciations received from patients about NEAS colleagues, and reflected on the increased investment into our service, before handing over to Director of Finance and Digital Tarryn Lake who provided an update on how some of that money had been spent.
The meeting was live-streamed to our website, and is available to watch on catch up here: 2023 board papers.
